Description
Bidens ferulifolia ‘Namid Red + Yellow Eye’ is a striking annual flowering plant known for its finely dissected, fern-like foliage and vibrant, daisy-like blooms featuring rich red petals contrasted by a bright yellow center. Originating from the Americas, this cultivar is prized for its cascading, trailing growth habit, making it an excellent choice for hanging baskets, containers, and mixed borders where it adds a splash of vivid color throughout the growing season. The plant thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, demonstrating heat and drought tolerance, which makes it a reliable performer in warm climates and summer landscapes. Its unique combination of intense red flowers accented by yellow eyes distinguishes it from typical yellow-flowered Bidens varieties, enhancing garden interest with extended bloom periods and attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies. This cultivar reflects modern breeding advances that emphasize ornamental appeal and garden versatility.
